MRCT'S SCOPES

The scopes of MRCT, as they are delineated in its by-law are:

  1. To function as a rehabilitation centre for tortured persons and their families as well.

  2. To educate greek or foreign health professionals in order to examine and cure tortured people.

  3. To contribute, through a wide circle to the transmission of knowledge about the existence and the different kinds of torture and about the possibility of rehabilitation of victims of torture.

  4. To carry out scientific research and give incentives on research about torture and its consequences.

  5. To maintain and develop an information centre (documentation).

  6. To contribute to the prevention of torture by promoting the foretold four "partial" purposes.
